Redefining What It Means to be Human

I am often confronted with my own and other people’s belief systems and often we have no idea why we believe what we believe and even if it’s truly our belief.

I find this fascinating. Why, when confronted with an idea that is not ours do we tense up and reject on impact. Why don’t we naturally just be open to another’s opinion? What do I have to lose by listening to you? What do you have to lose by listening to me? Yet, we tense up and reject.

I just spent time in Indonesia learning about inner cellular communication with sentient beings (elephants and orangutans). It’s not my bag yet I had no reason to believe it to not be a real thing. I suspended my belief and did my best to embrace the things I was being told regardless of how crazy it may have been! I found some of it interesting, some of it not my thing and some of it down right unexplainable. Because I am a skeptic at heart I like to be shown things in a big and ongoing way.

It should have been no surprise to me that my guest this week gave me a reminder of all I loved about my trip. Aja is an intergalactic Shaman. How is that for a mouthful? What the heck is that? Basically, she believes we are multidimensional beings and when we step away from our false self and into our multidimensional self it is there that we truly become connected with all that we are and all that we can become.

We talked about

  • how there are gatekeepers that keep up skeptical but also allows little bits of new ideas in as we are ready to receive them.
  • Negative and positive polarity
  • To question who is doing your thinking – you or your environment
  • How neutrality is an empowered place to be.

And so much more.

It was really good for me to revisit some of the things I learned in Indonesia and to consider some new concepts too.

It was truly a delight talking with someone so very open to ideas that outside of the norm. Aja was kind enough to create a meditation for you which you can download here… enjoy!
